Talent Squared are proud to partner with a successful business that design, manufacture and sell instrumentation and environmental monitoring applications.  This is a progressive scientific company with world-wide reputation for innovation and design, and a highly professional approach to business.  Our partner has strong network of distributors abroad and is now in a position to strengthen its international sales & marketing team and recruit an ambitious Export Sales Manager.

The Role

You will develop new business via distributors and OEM customers overseas whilst applying your technical expertise with customer visits, trade shows, research institutions, universities and consultants.  Candidates will have export sales and distributor management experience as well as demonstrating winning high value contracts, particularly for OEM products.

Ideally a sales professional with applied science or engineering degree the successful candidate will have a track record in international sales.  You will be responsible for managing, training and developing international distributors in USA, Canada and India.  There will be an opportunity to take on ASEAN countries plus Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Central and South America later in the role.  Any experience in the irrigation and grower markets for development as OEM would be highly advantageous as these will be target markets for the Export Sales Manager.  You will be expected to handle high value sales opportunities in the UK and occasionally in other countries.  Other responsibilities include participating in numerous UK and international exhibitions, organising training seminars and distributor conferences.  Your sales and marketing activities will coincide with the marketing department as you will be contributing to new product development strategies.  Knowledge in Agronomy, soil science, plant science, irrigation, environmental, horticultural, application engineering or instrumentation would be highly advantageous.  Whilst there may be an opportunity to work from home occasionally, it is essential that the candidate is primarily office based in Cambridgeshire
